Wall Street Journal 2008 Technology Innovation Award
The Pascal Photocoagulator was honored with a Wall Street Journal 2008 Technology Innovation award. Chosen for its innovative technology that permits ophthalmologists to treat eye diseases far more quickly than traditional laser systems, reducing discomfort and improving patient outcomes, PASCAL was selected as a runner-up in the competitive Medical Device category. The Wall Street Journal received more than 700 entries for the Innovation Awards, and a Journal editor narrowed the field down to the 162 that were scored by the judges. As in the past, judges looked for innovations that broke new ground in their fields and that demonstrated some measurable impact.
Medical Design Excellence Award
In 2007, the PASCAL Pattern Scan Laser Photocoagulator received a Gold Medal Medical Design Excellence Award. Winning entries are chosen for design and engineering features that represent innovation, enhance the performance of medical professionals, and deliver improved patient care.
R&D 100 Award
